Casey Key Fish House Fire

A very sad day for Sarasota area diners as a fire broke out in the early morning hours of Wed. February 25, 2004, severely damaging the Casey Key Fish House. An electrical malfunction was the cause according to officials.

Update: March 2, 2004: Casey Key Fish House owner Jimmy VonHubertz reports he has a fully self-contained kitchen on a trailer being delivered. The Tiki bar will be open on Friday 3/5 and the kitchen will be open beginning Saturday the 6th along with the Tiki bar. Live music as usual is planned for the weekend.

Hurray!
